I literally feel like I am eating myself out of house and home. I mean, why is it so expensive
to live a healthy lifestyle? From gym memberships to gym clothes, from protein shakes to healthy eating and grocery shopping… it really starts to add up.
About two years ago I made the choice to change my diet to vegan, cold turkey (no pun intended). I did a complete 180 by removing all eggs, meat, dairy products, and any other “animal-derived” ingredients from all of my meals. I completely changed my way of eating (my husband resoundingly maintains his carnivore status).
Everyday I continue to learn new things about being a vegan: how to be vegan on a budget; how to cohabit with an unwavering meat-eater; places to eat that accommodate vegans; and how to become a vegan in whole, outside of just diet. This site is devoted to my day-to-day journey in dealing with all of these challenges and sharing what I find along the way.
When you have some time, take a look at the various categories to the right. I will try to update this site throughout the week with interesting tids and bits that I find each day. Don’t forget to subscribe before you leave so you can stay up-to-date with all of my latest finds. Enjoy!
Looking forward to seeing some recipes because most vegetarian/ vegan things I make don’t taste nearly as good as the food in the restaurants.
This is great! I am vegetarian, my son (21 yrs) is vegan, whilst husband and daughter (19) are meat eaters. I am going to be watching your blog and (hopefully) learning from you!
Regards
Robyn
